National Certified Nurses Day is observed every March 19th. Every day lives are affected because of the care of certified nurses. They are very dedicated to helping others and often work long and hard hours. National Certified Nurses Day is a day to honor and recognize them and their important achievement of nursing specialty.
March 19th was proposed as Certified Nurses Day by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to honor the birthday of the late Margretta “Gretta” Madden Styles. She was a pioneer in nursing certification.
